Hi, I’m Martin Watt and this website is a portfolio of some of my photographic work.
I have been taking photographs since I was about 9 years old, but it’s only in the last 10 years or so that I can say I have been “making” photographs. Photography is my passion. Whether it’s sitting on a mountainside watching a mountain hare, or capturing the magic of a couple’s wedding, I try to find the angle that show my subjects to their best.
I have a degree in engineering, and experience in property. I find these skills helpful when planning a project, and having a technical background can help if the camera equipment isn’t doing what it should! But like most engineers I only read the manual when something goes wrong.
Some of my photographs have won awards in national and international competitions or have been highly commended. Most of my photographic projects are not about winning awards, but to please my clients. Some of them have kindly given testimonials about my work. It’s a great feeing to be appreciated.
